Welcome to Inspiring Haiti! I'm Kate Michel, a wife, mum, missionary and creative. I've been connected to Haiti by marriage, building our home, the early years raising our children and full-time Christian ministry for twenty years.
I love championing the beauty of Haiti and Haiti's people. If you were with me in Haiti now, I'd take you to the craft markets, to meet artisans and appreciate their creations, knowing your purchases put food on the table for their families.
Back in 2006, as a stay-at-home mum, I found peace, perspective and inspiration among the red hibiscus I'd planted in our garden in Cap-Haïtien; it moved me to create Haiti-inspired photo art and greeting cards. Now, I'm passionate about connecting you with beautifully made pieces from Haiti’s talented artisans.
